Algonquin Wolf Howl Canoe Trips
Weekend wilderness safari begins with a presentation and discussion of the Algonquin Park Wolves, recent studies of wolf ecology and efforts to conserve and protect this treasured species of Algonquin. Learn about the world of the eastern wolf and a little about yourself as we travel into an easily accessible area that is a home to Algonquin Park's Nahma Lake wolf pack.
Each evening we gather at the lakefront to belt out your best wolf howl and wait in silence for the spine-tingling response of nearby Algonquin Park wolves. Adult wolves and new-born pups occasionally join the chorus; wolf howl responses, however, are not guaranteed. Your naturalist guide also introduces guests to Ontario's Algonquin Park wildlife including otters, beavers, loons, foxes, moose and more. No special equipment or experience is necessary.
