Climate Change: Take action today it's good for your mind, body, and spirit.

It's not news any more that our actions on the planet will have lasting impact for generations. Take small steps toward limiting your emissions of carbon. Each step you take has a measurable impact on your carbon emissions (t.= tonnes / year).

At home I will:

  • lower the thermostat when I'm not home= .4 t.
  • use low-flow showerheads = .1 t.
  • turn down the hot water temperature in my home = .1 t.
  • wash my clothes in cold water = .2 t.
  • replace my light bulbs with compact flourescent bulbs= .1 t.
  • weatherstrip my windows / doors= .1 t.
  • upgrade my homes insulation = .4 t.
  • use green power = .1 t.

When traveling I will:

  • maintain my vehicle regularly = .5 t.
  • not idle my vehicle = .3 t.
  • use ethanol-blended = .2 t.
  • reduce my cruising speed driving = .1 t.
  • take one less flight per year = .3 t.
  • replace my car with a more efficient one = 1.2 t.
