Slow Food & Local Food at the Edge
Cooking at the Edge focuses on balancing globally far-flung tastes with provincially produced foods. While seasonal menus are inspired by flavors from afar, we seek to prepare our meals with ingredients raised closer to home.
Some food ingredients come from our garden, but most comes from local gardens and Ontario farms, including a local organic meat provider. We even occasionally serve local beer from Highlander Brewery in South River and wines made by Martha's brothers at Viewpointe Estates Winery.

S.L.O.W. means sustainable, local, organic and wholesome. While we endeavor to provide a 100 mile diet, we always do our best to deliver food that will be remembered and treasured.
Our meals are served buffet style and we ask each guest to describe their food restrictions for health and personal reasons so that we can deliver a colourful, tasteful meal that satisfies the needs of our wide variety of guests.
